WHAT WE BUILT
A large-scale audiovisual installation translating human presence into a continuously evolving system.
This project is relevant if you need to:
Turn audience input into a live installation
Translate abstract concepts into physical environments
Prototype a data-driven experience before pitching it
Build a multi-screen system that works across formats
HOW WE BUILT IT
How do you transform an abstract concept like belonging into a shared, physical experience—without reducing it to text or static visuals?
The project required a system capable of:
Handling large volumes of human input
Preserving emotional nuance
Scaling across both public and immersive environments
A real-time audiovisual system where human voices directly shape a living visual environment.
The installation combined:
a 128m² LED screen in a public urban location
a 19-screen immersive environment
a generative visual engine driven by sound data
HOW IT WORKS
What data we used
Voice recordings collected through an open call (100+ participants)
How it behaves
Audio is analysed (frequency, amplitude, rhythm) and translated into behavioural rules
What gets delivered
A particle-based visual system (20 million particles), fully audio-reactive and synchronised across screens
WHAT MADE THIS APPROACH EFFECTIVE
Instead of visualising data as information, we treated it as behaviour.
This allowed the system to:
remain alive over time
avoid repetition
adapt across formats
create emotional engagement without narrative explanation
Each contribution becomes part of a collective system—without hierarchy.
